History

Ken Crowley, founder and CEO, began his career as an apprentice with Gregnano Company in 1967. In 1969, Ken was drafted into the United States Army. When he returned in 1971, Ken worked as a bricklayer for Anthony Grignano and Monona Masonry until 1978.

In May of 1978, Ken, his wife, Linda, and a crew of three began Crowley Masonry, Inc. (CMI). The company started out doing residential and small commercial jobs. Ken would work in the field all day and estimate plans all night. Linda worked full time as an office manager and did the bookkeeping for CMI after hours, all while raising two young children.

Finally, in the late 1980’s, Crowley Masonry had grown to a company taking on large commercial projects, churches, schools, etc. Ken began spending less time laying brick and more time bidding work.

The late 1990’s further solidified the family-oriented feel of Crowley Masonry when their son, Brent, and daughter, Pamela, came to work for the business. Brent, who attended UW-Stout for Construction Management, assists with estimating, scheduling and managing projects. Pamela, who earned a degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from UW-La Crosse, maintains payroll, accounting, the website and other office duties.

As Crowley Masonry moves into its’ thirtieth year in business, we continue to strive for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We have seen many changes take place in this industry and we look forward to continued success as a leading mason contractor in Wisconsin.
