Barriseal Fluid-Applied Membrane

Barriseal is a roller or spray applied, water-based asphalt emulsion modified with a blend of synthetic rubbers and special additives, which cures to form a flexible, monolithic above ground air and vapor barrier for many substrates in wall construction.

Barriseal’s speed of application and high coverage rate make it ideal or large and multi-leveled structures. Arguably one of the most versatile breakthroughs in the waterproofing industry to date, Barriseal presents an option for both large and small crews.

The spray application of Barriseal presents a significant reduction in installation labor cost versus self-adhering or mechanically-attached systems. One Barriseal rig with two applicators can cover up to 400 square feet per hour, versus 175 square feet per hour with the same crew using sheet products. That’s over a 200% savings in labor costs not to mention a reduction in job site delay.
